About Pilates

Pilates, named after its creator Joseph Pilates, involves the complete co-ordination of body, mind and spirit. It aims to counteract the damage done to our bodies by modern lifestyles and to restore us to a state of vitality.

By practising pilates we re-learn good movement patterns and postural alignment, which we then carry into our normal everyday activities, helping to prevent injury, alleviate stress and reduce fatigue.
