Initially trained as a Singing Facilitator by the Alzheimer's Society and Sing for Your Life, Barbara now runs a number of different singing groups in the Hampshire / Berkshire area, each tailored to the clients' differing needs. *

Clients include:

  • The Alzheimer’s Society : ‘Singing for the Brain’ facilitator and trainer
  • Sing for Your Life : ‘Silver Song Clubs’ and ‘Get Hampshire Singing’ facilitator
  • The Kingsley Centre, Bordon : Specialist song club for older people and adults with learning disabilities
  • Sunrise Living, Fleet : Reminiscence singing sessions
  • Rosefield Day Centre, Odiham: Reminiscence singing sessions
  • Pathways, The Wellbeing Centre, Frimley : Singing for mental wellbeing group

Singing for the Brain, Silver Song Clubs and reminiscence singing sessions aim to stimulate both the mind and body improving breathing, co-ordination and memory whilst also lifting the mood through the sheer joy of singing.

The atmosphere is fun and informal offering plenty of opportunity for those taking part to meet new friends and enjoy the benefits of singing whatever their ability.
